Guful is a Screen Time control app that helps users set app restrictions, schedules, prayer-time locks, and paired-device controls.
Data We Store
To make the app work, we may store limited anonymous app data in Firebase/Firestore, such as:
- paired device status
- anonymous device IDs
- pairing codes
- user/profile labels created by the user
- lock, unlock, schedule, and restriction settings
- basic app state needed for syncing between paired devices
Screen Time Access
Guful uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs. Restrictions are applied through Apple’s own system permissions.
The user can disable Screen Time access, unpair devices, or delete the app at any time.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general app usage, such as which screens are used and how the app performs.
Analytics data is used to improve the app. We do not use analytics to personally identify users.
Deleting and Unpairing Devices
You can delete or unpair a paired device from inside the app settings.
When you use Delete & Unpair Devices, Guful deletes the related paired-device data from our server, including the pairing relationship and stored control settings connected to that pair.
Not a Replacement for Apple Family Controls
Guful is not a replacement for Apple Family Sharing or Apple’s built-in parental controls.
If a user has their own iCloud account and you need full Apple-level parental control, you should use Apple Family Sharing and Apple Screen Time.
Guful works only with the permissions granted on the device. The user may remove Screen Time permission, unpair the device, or delete the app.
Third-Party Services
Guful uses Firebase, Firestore, and Google Analytics for Firebase to provide syncing, paired-device features, and app analytics.
These services are provided by Google and are subject to Google’s privacy practices.
